This is rushed but not nearly as much as it was in the original fanfic.
Chapter Four
Natalie’s Story
“A fairy!” Trish exclaimed.
“Fairies aren’t real!” said Christy, stubbornly.
But she knew she was wrong. The fairy in front of her was breathing.
“I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!” Trish said, a little too loud.
The fairy stirred and her eyes fluttered open. She flapped her gorgeous wings, flew in the air, yawned, and, stretched. She looked around, and when she saw Christy and Trish, she screamed.
“AAAAAHHHHH!”
“AAAAAHHHHH!” screamed Trish.
“AAAAAHHHHH!” screamed Christy.
“AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!” all three of them screamed.
“Stop!” the fairy screamed, and she threw sparkly dust on the girls.
Christy immediately stopped screaming, but when she opened her mouth to say something, she couldn’t. She couldn’t even move!
The fairy sighed. “That’s better.” She snapped her fingers and the girls unfroze. “OK, I don’t know what happened and I need somebody’s help, and your help is better than nothing!”
Christy was still frozen with shock, but Trish was the complete opposite. “OmigoshOhmigosh!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe it!!!! A real life fairy!!!!!!”
Christy got over her shock and said, “Wait…. Why would we help you? We don’t even know who you are!”
“Oh!” exclaimed the fairy. “Where are my manners?” She curtsied. “I’m Natalie, one of the seven Jewel-Guards.”
“Why seven?” asked Trish.
Natalie shrugged. “Seven days in a week, seven colors in a rainbow, the list goes on. Seven’s everywhere. In fact, you’re in seventh grade.”
“What’s a Jewel-Guard?” Christy asked, trying not to think about how Natalie knew what grade they were in.
“There are seven jewels in the kingdom of Teria, and seven Jewel-Guards,” explained Natalie. “Each Guard gets their own Jewel to protect. In an emergency, we put a jewel on a different piece of jewelry to protect it. I protect the ruby.”
“Why do you need the jewels?” Trish asked.
“The jewels are magical,” said Natalie. “King Jacob of the neighboring kingdom of goblins and trolls, Warnog, put a spell on Teria, preventing us from doing magic. Jacob also stole the jewels, which could have been used to make a reverse charm spell.”
Natalie took a deep breath. “So, um….” She looked at the girls. “I never got your names.”
Trish gasped. “Oh! Sorry! I’m Patricia Jennifer Karr, and this is Christina Marie Banks.”
Christy rolled her eyes. “Just call us Christy and Trish,” she said to Natalie.
Natalie smiled. “OK!” she said. “So, Christy, Trish, will you help me find the Jewels and the other Guards?”
Trish answered immediately. “Yes!!!!!!!” She looked at Christy. “Pleeeeeeeeeease Christy? Can you? I don’t want to do it alone!”
Christy looked at her friend’s pleading face. She took a deep breath, and said, “OK. I don’t like it, but I’ll do it.”
Trish is way to eager and both are way too accepting of the situation. The "AAAHHH" bit reminds me of TSP Draft Two, which isn't exactly a good thing.
