"We Like Wherever We Are" follows a group of 12-year-old quadruplets named Max. Maxie, Dexter, and Belle who are finally allowed to go into the backyard all by themselves for the first time. I had to be in preschool or kindergarten when I wrote this, and I wasn't allowed in the backyard without parental supervision at the time, so I of course assumed that this was a Big Deal and when I was 12 I'd be able to do this.
The kids play in the backyard but soon decide to leave it. They find themselves in the woods, where they run into a butterfly who tells them where to go. Meanwhile, their mother goes to check on them, but for some reason a rock suddenly fell on the swing set, so I guess it's good that they left.
Their parents enter the woods to find their children, and a different butterfly shows them where to go. They all reunite.
I don't understand this one's title, but it's cute. I don't know if I intended for the kids to be quadruplets, but if they're all 12-year-old siblings, it's likely that they are. However, there is a chance they could be a blended or adopted family.
