Childhood Stories - The 12 Bear Cubs

This is the most iconic one I have. At least to me.

This is just an introductory book to a family of bears with 12 kids altogether, as the name suggests. I don't really know where it came from, but there are a lot of weird concepts. Whenever Mama Bear was pregnant, she craves cacti. I don't know why. All of the cubs loved playing with rocks. I don't know why. Each of the bear cubs also had a gimmick.

Twinkles and Sirius, the two eldest, didn't really have a gimmick. They more or less were normal. But then their brother Snow Bear had wings for some reason. Fireball was implied to be a pyrokinetic, and later actually was in canon. Then was Silly, who was just green. Michelle was pink. Michael was normal, but some Behind The Scenes information is that his name used to be Michaela, because I thought that name was pronounced Michael-uh and not Mi-kay-luh. So I just scratched out the "a" and he's Michael now. I guess he's accidentally trans.

Then there was Water, who was blue and stated to be a good swimmer, but later I think I had it so he could breathe underwater, but I don't know if he had hydrokinesis or not. Then was Workee, who was normal except for the fact that he really liked wearing suits and ties and hats. Also I don't understand his name--he liked working? And I associated suits with working I guess. Then was the most creative in my opinion: Can't-See, who was invisible and could only be seen with a special magnifying glass. I can't explain why I decided to do this, but why not? Dress-Up was next, and she sparkled apparently. Then last was Dinosaur, who had a fur pattern that resembled a skeleton and had "invisible eyes" and I associated bones with dinosaurs as a kid, so that's why he's named that.

I wrote two other books in the 12 Bear Cubs series. I'll go over the next one in a separate blog post, and I can't find the third and unfinished one I worked on years later. I also plan to vaguely adapt this idea to a novel or novella later down the road because it's just so special to me.
