"Favorite Things" is an anthology story with a bunch of one-shots, but I don't really understand the title in regards to that.
The first one-shot is "Finding Friends," which follows an octopus, fish, mermaid, and squid named respectively Zelda, Twyla, Marianna, and Herra. They are all sad because they can't find their respective husbands named (respectively) Zee, Twill, Sammy, and Hisra. Of course they all reunite and are happy. The best part is the squids named Herra and Hisra. The most creative things ever.
Next is "Enchanted Land," which follows a bunch of elves who live in the clouds building a sandcastle. The sun and the moon are best friends and I have officially decided they are lesbians, and they watch the elves build their sandcastle until midnight. A girl named Sally flies by on a Pegasus and they drop off more sand for the elves. A cat simply called "M" calls the elves home for dinner and they all sleep well in the sandcastle, which is now their home.
The next one is "Drinking Up the Pool," which follows a very thirsty elephant creatively named Ella search for water--as it's implied she's been without it for at least 24 hours. She eventually finds a pool and drinks all the water out of it, leaving the girl inside, Cristy, stuck in the hole. Cristy climbs out of the pool with a ladder and scolds Ella for not simply asking for lemonade. I mean, lemonade isn't what she wanted, also, the poor thing hasn't had any water, and also, she drank chlorine which is not healthy!!!
"Eating Spaghetti and Meatballs" is about a giraffe named Cutie, who felt "boogery" all day, meaning she was hangry. She finds a girl named Jill eating spaghetti and meatballs and Cutie eats it up. Jill gets mad and Cutie starts crying. She apologizes and makes Jill another bowl of spaghetti and meatballs.
"Going to Bed" is about a girl named Lilla who stayed up late to watch fireworks and then immediately goes to sleep. The next morning, her friends come over and the play in a tree. When they leave, she goes on a walk with her mother and baby sister.
Overall this was cute even though the title is weird and I don't understand the point of the stories.
