The last of this book! Yay.
Chapter Twelve
I’m in a jail with Smiles
Oh, crap. Crap, crap, CRAP!!!!
How could I have been so STUPID! How would Alexia even know this place was called “Eli’s Cliff of Doom”?
How are we going to save our friends, now?
The man laughed evilly. “I am THE Eli of “Eli’s Cliff of Doom! Cousin of Quincy and William Warlock!”
I gasped. Kat leaned over to me. “Who are they?” she whispered.
“Quincy is the one who tried to prevent Alexia & I from going home exactly a month ago,” I whispered back. “William kidnapped Maddie, Nellie, and Mikey the day school started.”
She gulped. We looked back at Eli, who said, “Your friends? Is that why you came? Ha. Ha-ha. HA HA HA HA!!!!! You’ll never get them back! Did you REALLY think you’d outsmart the legendary Eli Warlock!?”
And with that, he turned away, snapped his fingers, and my phone disappeared. Then HE disappeared in a puff of smoke. The lights turned off, leaving us with only one source of light:
A glow-in-the-dark smiley face.
Chapter Thirteen
Oh where, oh where, are our friends right now?
“Alexia! Lucy! Maddie! Nellie! Mikey! Hannah!” we called.
We had been calling for what seemed like hours. I was getting tired of it, and my throat was dry. But I HAD to find them!
“ALEXIA! LUCY! MADDIE! NELLIE! MIKEY! HANNAH!” I screamed.
“Aurora!” Kat screamed. “It’s no use! They’re never going to hear us and we’re never going to find them!”
“Wait!” I said. “Shhhhh!!!”
Kat shushed. “Why?” she asked.
“I need silence to read minds!”
I listened carefully. At first I didn’t pick up anything. But then, I did.
Aurora! Help! We’re trapped!
“Kat!” I said. “They’re here! Can you slip through the bars?”
Kat looked at the bars. “Maybe.”
Now this part was gross. I’m not going to describe it. But Kat went through the bars (which were only 1 inch apart) like they were 10 feet apart. It was like she was made of rubber.
She ran across the room and disappeared. When she reappeared, she was holding a ring of keys.
“How did you know that there was keys on the other side of the room?” I asked, surprised.
She shrugged. “I heard the keys jingle. Didn’t you?”
I shook my head.
Kat unlocked the cell and I followed the sounds of my friends’ thoughts.
We soon found the cell with the six of them were. They were all tied up with gags. Kat unlocked the cell and the two of us untied them.
“Are you OK?” I asked.
“Yes,” Alexia panted.
Chapter Fourteen
Escape from the Smiling face
Alexia
But before we could, Eli appeared in front of us.
“I’ll allow you to go,” he said. “But a surprise is waiting for you.”
He snapped his fingers and we were in front of Liz’s house.
What surprise did he mean?
Well, we were about to find out.
I don't know why the first line is just "Alexia."
Anyways, tomorrow I'm gonna start posting Book Four.
