I've decided to break this up into chunks because it's a little longer. And wanted to make things easier. Have fun!

This is "Teleportal," narrated by Alexia.
Chapter one
My Best Friend Disappears
“Come on, Aurora!” I said to my best friend, Aurora Austin as I walked out the class room door.
“Alexia,” said Aurora. “The bell hasn’t rung yet!”
Before I could say anything back to her, the bell clanged SO loud!
“Thar she blows!” I said in my best pirate voice.
“OK.” said Aurora. “Why are you in such a hurry to leave school today?”
“Because it’s my 10th birthday!” I exclaimed. “I want to be home early!”
“Oh. I can walk you home.”
We grabbed our backpacks and started walking out the door. But not for long. Our teacher, Mrs. Rogers, said, “Alexia! You forgot something!”
I groaned. What could I have possibly forgotten? Aurora and I turned back into the room.
When we were back in the classroom, Mrs. Rogers was holding something small in her hands.
“Here you go,” she said, handing me the object. I recognized it as my pocket metal detector. I was knew it was mine because I had written my name on it. I would recognize my handwriting from anywhere.
Alexia Morgan

“Thanks,” I said to Mrs. Rogers.
Aurora and I walked out of our classroom for the last time for two weeks!
Yup! My 10th birthday is on the Friday before Thanksgiving Break. Aurora has been 10 since September but now it’s my turn! Double Digits are really important! Now Aurora and I will be Double Digits for the rest of our lives. (Unless we turn 100.)
Tomorrow I am having a sleepover. Aurora and my other friend Lucy Karry are coming. It is going to be AWESOME!
I was so busy daydreaming that I wasn’t talking to Aurora like I usually do. I snapped out of my daydream just in time to hear a scream. I turned around as fast as I could to see what Aurora was so scared over. But all I saw was a backpack. I didn’t even see Aurora.
Chapter two
I Go Through a Portal
I stared in the place that I was pretty sure Aurora was standing. I stared at the backpack. I was pretty sure that it was hers. I looked at the name plate. Yup. Her handwriting.
Aurora Austin
Where was my friend?!?!?!
I looked all around. Nothing. The only place I hadn’t looked was the ground. Why would she be in the ground? I have no idea. But it’s worth a try.
I moved the grass. The only thing I saw was a rock. As I looked closer, the rock seemed to be metal. I crawled a little closer. It still looked metal. I reached out to touch it when….
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I was falling through nothingness. All I saw was a bunch of rainbows swirling around me. I kept falling and screaming. Then everything went black.
Chapter three
The Other End
I woke up about 10 seconds after I blacked out. I pushed my hair out of my eyes. I saw a town that I did not recognize. I saw a few white stuff that looked like clouds. But it didn’t look like fog, which is the only possible explanation for clouds being on the ground. The buildings looked like they were made of gold. But it couldn’t be Cibola (the city of gold) because this place was a town, not a city.
I didn’t see any signs of Aurora. The only way I could find her is if I knocked on the doors of the houses. Even though it was a stupid idea, I did it anyway. I knocked on the door to a house that was close to my “arrival point”. An old lady answered the door.
“Hello! I’m Elizabeth Gray, but you can call me Liz. Who are…” the lady started to say.
“HiI’mAlexiaMorganIamlookingformyfriendAurorashehasfrecklesandbrownhairhaveyouseenher?” I interrupted really fast.
Liz looked shocked but she still talked in a sweet voice. “Yes I did. She went that way.” She pointed to the left.
“Thanks!” I headed off in that direction.
I found Aurora tangled in some vines upside down.
“OH MY GOSH!” I screamed while I untangled her. “How on Earth did this happen?!”
I untangled the last vine and Aurora fell loose. She gasped for breath and said, “I have no idea. I was just walking a few feet from the vines minding my own business when they literally reached out and snatched me!”
“Well you’re okay now,” I said.
Before we could do anything else, we heard a loud “ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Aurora and I turned around slowly.
And even though we’ve been all the way from preschool to 4th grade, nothing in all of our school career prepared us for what we saw.
We looked at each other and screamed, “DRAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Chapter four
Bobby
The dragon was HUGE. It was impossible. It didn’t make any since. But it was true. I helped Aurora off the ground and screamed, “RUN!”
Aurora and I broke into a run. “Where can we hide from it!?” Aurora asked, pointing at the dragon.
“I do know one place,” I said.
I led us to Liz’s house. When we got there, I banged on the door and screamed, “LIZ! IT’S ME, ALEXIA! LET US IN! A DRAGON IS CHASING US!”
Liz immediately opened the door. “Come in, girls!” We scrambled in. The dragon was right behind us. Liz looked at the dragon and said, “Now Bobby, that’s no way to treat these girls.”
Aurora looked at me and said, “I think I want to lie down.”
