My Old Writing Prompts - Pt. 5

This comes from an idea I have for a dystopian-esque novel where the world was divided into different clans, but I didn't have anything more for ideas of world building other than the found family dynamic that is set up here, with three people from three different clans found each other and bonded. The "Sabers" I mentioned were going to be a Clan of assassins, which Diana here was a part of. Sam was abandoned by his clan, Diana left her clan, and Malcolm's clan was all killed.

I didn't really like this bland concept but I liked the character dynamic, so I changed it to a high fantasy setting, and changed Malcolm, Sam, and Diana to an ogre, goblin, and elf respectively, although what their new names are going to be is still up for debate. I kinda have a small outline that has to do with a baby dragon being the thing that bonds them together, but I still haven't quite figured it out.

What's funny is that when I looked at what I have, I realized that I'd accidentally made a concept that sounded like a cross between The Dragon Prince and Ice Age completely on accident.

I don't know when I'll get back to this idea, if I will, but I love the found family dynamic and I've never done traditional high fantasy before, so it would be a fun experiment.
