I believe that this prompt I got from an underdeveloped idea in which the protagonist got to write her own life story. Because it's underdeveloped, I don't know if she found out her life was in a book or if she found a McGuffin that allowed her to write her own life--I don't know. I do know that this excerpt is nothing interesting, and seems like Deanna is just whining when her life is perfectly fine.
The best part is the line "everyone gets laid during the holiday season." It's also incorrect because September is beaten by July and August because they have 31 days and not just 30, but whatever, it's still funny.
Overall, this is nothing special, and I probably could have done something more creative than just whining about how boring life is. But who knows? Maybe that could have been her self-discovery arc. I'll never know.
