Character Introductions: Noelle Bishop

Today, I talk about Carissa "Noelle" Bishop:

Noelle is a very practically-minded person, who often leans very heavily on her logical side. She's consistently dedicated to her ideology, and gets uncomfortable whenever she finds something contrary to it. She understands the consequences of her actions, but she will do whatever it takes to fulfill what she believes is the right course of action. Her telekinesis is not extremely powerful, but she is very precise and accurate, making up for power with skill. She always carefully checks her surroundings and her facts, careful to not make any assumptions so she knows exactly what she's getting into. This means she's careful not to share her opinions very often, instead allowing for the facts to do the talking. She hates indecisiveness, and will ignore personal obligations if she deems it necessary, meaning she also hates depending on others as well. She hates being lied to, and hates being wrong, making her surprisingly sensitive to criticism despite having no qualms dishing it out. She struggles to show commitment to her friends, and struggles to get close to anyone. She respects authority and is productive, reliable, and confident.

Noelle was an off-screen character in my plans for Drafts Two and Three, originally being named Heather Collins and Lara Daron respectively. Writing her character is challenging, but in a fun way. When I decided to plan an arc around for her, I got a surprising result that I figured made a lot of sense given her values, but getting her to that point with her personality was shown to require out-of-the-box thinking. I somehow had to figure out how to make her decisions seem logical. precise, decisive, and not at all impulsive. It was hard, but I think I have it.
