Character Introduction: Teo Nguyen

Today, y'all get to meet Teo Nguyen:

Teo is a friendly and enthusiastic teenager who always has a reason to be happy. He's extremely charming, charismatic, and compassionate, always looking for a deeper meaning in the world around him. He has a wide breadth of social connections that he always knows how to get something he needs to know, easily navigating the world around him. He's very passionate, and loves to share his thoughts and ideas to anyone willing to listen. He does tend to procrastinate, as he overanalyzes his options, and he does tend to be unfocused, sometimes even forgetting to take care of himself, which inadvertently become disastrous to those around him. He's a good listener, good at small talk, and is a perfectionist, never wanting to disappoint anyone or let them down. He's very optimistic, always believing in the best situations even if the present is currently dark, causing him to see the world in rose-colored glasses. He has a positive view of himself with overall control over his emotions, although, like everyone, does have a breaking point.

Teo's earliest conception was a background character named Craig Worthington, the boyfriend of one of my other characters (see Wade Attwood) who got nothing more than a shout-out most of the time. However, I did write a single interlude around him during my attempt at Part Four during Draft Four of The Secret Portal. He was supposed to never appear again, but as I was working on a clearer plan for Part Four, I ended up giving "Craig" a much bigger role. I changed his surname to Nguyen as I changed his character design, now that he was a main character, but during the planning of Draft Five, I was starting to dislike the name Craig for him (and I already had way too many characters with names that started with C), and ended up changing it to Teo, which I like better.
