Character Introduction: Hye-Jin Song

Today, we will meet Hye-Jin Song:

Hye-Jin is a dedicated and warm girl who is quiet, sensitive, observant, and analytical. She's a master procrastinator, but always manages to get things done on time. She takes the responsibility that she's given seriously, and consistently goes above and beyond. Her powers give her the ability to absorb the powers of everyone she touches, which gives a greater responsibility on her shoulders, at least to her. She sets extremely high standards for herself, which means she almost never wants to take the credit unless she meets those expectations. She's very detail-oriented and supportive of those close to her, and loyalty only grows stronger with time. She loves seeing the positive effects of her actions, and will always accept the praise when she feels like she deserves it. She's very good at teamwork, and great at giving advice to those who turn to her. She's a positive person who wants to find the good in everything, and is good at letting go of things she knows she's unable to control.

Hye-Jin has been a character since Draft Two, although then she was called Lucy Karry, and had the ability to control the weather. In Draft Three, she became Lucy Harris, and in Draft Four, she was briefly Lucy Day then Lucy Song for a long time. Draft Four she was given her mimicry powers, which have stayed since. When I realized I had too many characters that had four-letter L names, I decided to finally change her first name, and came up with Hye-Jin, which is a name I immediately connected with, as Lucy never really seemed quite right after I got the chance to see her character in action. She was a bland character in Draft Four, though, so when writing parts of Draft Five, I've really developed her into a character I really love, and can't wait to write more with her.
