Character Introduction: George Baxter

Today I introduce George Baxter:

George is an analytical young man who's constantly getting lost in his own thoughts or hyperfixated on a single topic. He tends to overthink and analyze on everything and everyone around him and is always obsessed with something. He's baffled by emotions, including his own, and believes people skills are overrated. However, he lights up whenever he does connect with someone, and at that point is deeply committed and does not take that relationship for granted. His perfectionism often gets the best of him, and he's always imagining how something could be better, therefore never getting things done. He tends to look before he leaps, but he will leap without permission, asking for forgiveness later, as that leap was a commitment. His superspeed allows him to bounce from topic to topic at a fast rate, even in his mind, often moving on from something without warning. He's a technology nerd who loves science and video games.

George has been here since the beginning of The Secret Portal with only a minor change to him over time. When Draft Four came around, he was still relatively flat, so I knew in my Draft Five revisions I would have to improve his character, and I think he's come into his own. I give him his due focus, and I think I'm satisfied with his story.
