Character Introduction: Carla Baxter

Today I introduce Carla Baxter:

Carla is a quiet adolescent who is constantly in a daydream, waiting to help others whenever she can. She often feels the weight of the world on her shoulders and internalizes problems those closest to her have. She's respectful of those different than herself, and is interested in seeing things from other people's perspectives, and is a strong believer than anyone can change. She's a perfectionist who tends to self-isolate herself despite her desire to connect with people. She's protective of her friends, desires positive feedback, and longs for a sense of purpose. She tends to shut down at negative feedback, and tends to be unsatisfied with how she's living her life, always wanting to do something more than she is, but her chronokinesis is far too dangerous to use to fix things. She's highly emotional, with no shame of displaying them, and can connect with anyone on a deep level.

Carla has grown a lot since her introduction in Draft One as Carly, in regards to personality and her powers. She started off as a flat character who didn't do anything, but in Draft Two I started to make her more active (although I will admit she still didn't have a personality), and in Draft Three, I tried to add more depth to her character, but I never finished that Draft, so it didn't really happen. By the time Draft Four came along, I was fully ready to do more with her, but I ended up not doing that, as I added more characters to give depth to. In planning Draft Five, I've finally given her the personality and depth she deserves, and I'm excited to finally do more with her.
