Character Introduction: Anathi Makeba

Today, I introduce y'all to Anathi Makeba:

Anathi is a lonely teen who is extremely intelligent, always looking for new ways to stimulate his mind, expand his knowledge, and improve the world. He's blunt and has a good sense of humor if he's able to open up to anyone. He has a rare type of superstrength, stronger and bigger than any previously recorded, making him an outcast in every social circle. He has a strong imagination and a strong will to keep going and never give up, embracing his creativity and nerdy side who stands up for his ideas and himself. He's a master at solving conflict if it requires the view of a master at puzzles, and often tries to solve a situation that doesn't need it. He always wants to know exactly what's going on in his life, although his isolation has made it hard, which is why he is constantly reading about what's going on with the world. He's very ambitious, externally motivated, and easily provoked, but remains an extremely introspective person.

Anathi has to be the character who's changed the most in the least amount of time. I have changed his backstory three (arguably four) times since his inception, and he only came in Part Three of Draft Four. He originally only came in as a relatively unimportant character named Adrian Shannon, but I realized he had to be important in the long run if I gave as much time as I did to him. There was a brief time he was a hydrokinetic, but I thought superstrength was a better fit. Those with superstrength in The Secret Portal are much taller than the average person, their strength correlated with their height, and I always love the height difference trope, and this little piece of world building has led to some insane height differences. Eventually I changed his name to Adrian Zeon, but it wasn't vibing with me. As I changed his personality, I soon came to the name Anathi Makeba, which I think sounds really nice.
